Jae-Kyung 'Jamise' Lee, Ph.D.

Associate Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology

Dr. Lee received her BS/MS decrees in Biology at Kyungpook National University, South Korea, then earned Ph.D degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2005. After her postdoc training at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and her role as a Research Assistant Professor at Emory University, Dr. Lee started her laboratory in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at UGA in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys Yoga and cooking.

Jaegwon Chung, MS

Research Professional

Jaegwon is a Senior Research Scientist in the lab. Jae received his BS/MS degrees in Biology at Kyungpook National University. Jae worked as a research staff at UT Southwestern and Emory University and has more than 20 years of research experience in cellular and molecular neuroscience.

Jina Lim, MS

Lab Technician

Jina is a lab technician. Jina majored in Animal Biotechnology for her BS degree at Seoul University in South Korea and studied swine nutrition during her M.S. degree from the University of Kentucky.

Adetutu Adebowale

Graduate Student (IPP program)

Adetutu is a graduate student in IPP program at UGA. Ade came from Nigeria. She received her BSc (Biochemistry) degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2008, and MSc (Biochemistry, in Molecular Drug Metabolism and Toxicology) from University of Ibadan in 2019.

Declan Gresham

Graduate Student (IPP program)

Declan is a graduate student in the IPP program at UGA. He was born and raised in Georgia, and did his B.S in cellular biology at UGA. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and traveling.

Jungha Byun

Graduate Student (ILS, Neuroscience)

Jungha is a graduate student in ILS Neuroscience Program at UGA. She was born in Korea, and she did her B.S in Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Outside of the lab, she likes cooking during her free time.

Yu 'Jack' Zhang

Graduate Student (IPP program)

Jack is a graduate student in the IPP program at UGA. He moved here from New York and has lived here ever since. He did B.S. in Biochemistry at UGA. In his free time, he likes to relax with friends and game.

Nicole Zhang

Undergraduate Student

Nicole is an undergraduate student in the lab, who is currently majoring in Biomedical Physiology at UGA with a minor in sociology. In her free time she likes trying out new restaurants in Athens and volunteering around the Athens community.

Undergraduate Student

Yunna is an undergraduate student in the lab, who is currently studying Nutritional Science at UGA. She enjoys bubble tea and appreciating nature in her free time.

Giselle Gyimah

Undergraduate Student

Gieselle Gyimah is an undergraduate studying Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Biomedical Physiology at UGA. In her free time, she loves making art, spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, and trying new coffee spots/restaurants!

Eli Hewitson

Eli is an undergraduate student majoring in Biomedical Physiology at UGA with a minor in biology and business. He is from Dunwoody, Georgia. In his free time, he loves to cook, go to the gym, and hang out with my friends.
